Russell Downing (Endura) secured a 4th win in the 2012 edition of the Lincoln Grand Prix after biding his time and attacking as the bell tolled the final lap.
After a fast paced race that tore the group apart, Downing attacked from a group of 5 leaders as the riders passed the finish line. He was joined by Marcin Bialoblocki (Node4 Giordana), who solo’d across to join him, but was able to drop the polish rider on the steep cobbles of Michaelgate to cross the line with 20 seconds to spare.
